Slow Cooker Banana Nut Oatmeal

1 cup steel cut oats
2 ripe bananas, mashed
2 1/2 cups milk (cow, soy, or almond)
2 cups water
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
Butter

Rub butter over slow cooker pot to minimize sticking. Mash bananas in a medium sized bowl. To this add oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, salt, 1 cup of milk and mix. Pour this into slow cooker pot. Add remaining milk and water. Cook on low for 8hrs.

Serve with walnuts, butter, and brown sugar.

Serves 4-5.
